Everyone has days where we feel connected, energetic, useful, productive, beautiful, sexy… in other words, just plain happy. Naturally, other days we don’t feel the same. We may not be unhappy, but we’re neutral. In order to mindfully and purposefully live every day the best we can, we need to know what exactly is different in our ‘good’ days versus our ‘bad ones.
To be clear, this doesn’t mean that we can forcefully make every day a ‘perfect’ one. You will continue to have ‘bad’ days, that’s guaranteed. However, if you know what your ‘perfect’ day looks like and keep it in mind, you will gradually learn to purposefully fill your days with the right activities for you.
Everyone is different. So start by taking the time to think about your perfect day, from the moment you wake up, to the moment you go to bed. Think about what you do, what you eat, who you spend time with, what you accomplish, etc. With time you will be living more purposefully.
