What do you need to focus on right now?

Every day, when you wake up, do you know exactly what you want to do in the next 16hrs? If not, you lack focus. There is no better feeling than waking up with a purpose, a mission. When you have focus, you won’t feel that laziness we all know trying to get up. Instead, you can’t wait to get out of bed because you’re eager to continue working on your mission.


The problem is that most people don’t know what to focus on. You can’t focus on 10 different things at a time. Of course there are many different activities you need to do everyday. You need to eat, you need to spend time with your family, you need to take the dogs out for a walk, you need to shower. But none of those things can be your focus for the day.


Your focus for the day should be the one thing that takes you one step closer to achieving your objectives. It may be your work, your hobby, your side-hustle, your art project, your game or anything else; what matters is that you do not forget or get distracted. Your focus is your big picture.


Write down what you want to focus on each day and put it somewhere front and center in your environment. Read it first thing in the morning and go back to it when you feel scattered. Soon you will notice a sense of purpose like no other.
